Seven-minute spoken reflections on letting go, self-worth, decisions — not an audiobook, not a meditation, its own format. For the commute, for falling asleep, for the first coffee. Written in-house, voiced with curated speech synthesis.
3,000+ affirmations, 200+ meditations, 80+ collections, 10 audiobooks. We listen to every single one before it goes live. No user-generated chaos, no endless feed — curated like a good record shelf.

Browse sessions →Tiefgang ("deep dive") is a format we built ourselves. Around seven minutes of spoken reflection on a single subject — letting go, self-worth, a decision, a feeling. Built-in pauses for breath, no teacher's tone. Not an exercise, not an instruction, not an affirmation — closer to a short, quiet letter to yourself, read aloud. Works on the way home, while walking, before sleep.
200+ guided sessions, all in German (English voicing arriving). Beginner to advanced, three to thirty minutes. Body scan, breath meditation, loving-kindness, sleep meditation. Every session editorially approved.

Short notes about your day — what hit you, what carried you. The AI reads along, sums up the mood arc across the week and suggests content that actually fits. No judgment, no therapy talk.
Your journal stays in your account. Processing on German servers, never used for training datasets.
No account required. Web and iOS — running in 30 seconds.
Tell the app in one sentence what's going on — or pick from the library.
Affirmations are spoken with pauses to repeat them. You keep what sticks — the rest, we let go.
We don't name names — other mindfulness apps do many things well. We're built in Germany, listen with AI, curate a real library and let you start without an account.

Sandra K.34, marketing team lead, Munich"Finally an app that doesn't greet me in English at 11 p.m. I play a Tiefgang, do 4-7-8, fall asleep. That's all I need."
Daniel R.41, IT consultant, Hamburg"The AI affirmation sounded like marketing at first. Then I said 'I'm scared I'll lose this big deal' — and got three lines back I actually wrote down. That's not nothing."
Karin H.58, teacher, Stuttgart"My therapist at the rehab clinic recommended the app. I do a breathing exercise in the morning and an audiobook at night. No streaks, no push notifications — exactly what I wanted."
Anja T.licensed psychotherapy practitioner, CologneLicensed practitioner"I recommend the deep-dive stories and the 4-7-8 pattern to clients with sleep problems. Both are written without wellness mysticism — rare in the German-speaking market."
German company, German servers, German GDPR. No flag-waving — just what cleanly-handled mindfulness should look like.

Yes. Calm Sessions is currently free to use — no end date set, no card, no subscription. We're still building and we're glad for any feedback.
Until further notice. There's no end date and no paywall right now. If we later introduce a Plus model, we'll reach out in good time — and everyone who's with us today gets early-supporter benefits.
No. You can open Calm Sessions and start immediately — the first sessions run without login. An account is optional, only needed if you want to sync across devices.
Partly. Once you've played a session, it stays in cache and runs offline. A native offline feature with its own download manager is in the works.
You speak one sentence ("I can't switch off," "I had a fight with my partner"). The app transcribes the audio via OpenAI Whisper, sends the text to GPT-4, gets three to five affirmations back, and has ElevenLabs voice them. The voice recording is deleted immediately.
The database and audio cache live in Frankfurt. AI calls (Whisper, GPT-4) go through the EU region of each provider. Voice recordings are deleted after processing. Details in the privacy policy.

Four patterns: 4-7-8 (sleep), 4-4-4-4 (box breathing for focus), 4-6 (stress), 3-3-6 (before difficult conversations). With an interactive timer and breath visualisation.

A calm German female voice for the German content and an English-speaking male voice — no US-coach pathos. There is no in-app voice picker yet; more voices will follow step by step.
