Just Rain

Ratings are optional – you can simply experience instead. For a child, rain is an adventure. For plants, it's a blessing. For farmers, it's survival. Rain is just rain – the judgment comes from us.

Just Rain
```xml Get comfortable and let your eyes come to rest. Take a deep breath in and slowly breathe out again. Once more: breathe in, breathe out. Today I'd like to tell you a story about something we all know. Something we think about every day. The weather. It's Tuesday morning, just after eight. Lisa stands at the kitchen window, coffee cup in hand. Outside, it starts to drizzle. "Oh no," she sighs. "Rain again." She looks at her light blue dress, the one she wanted to wear today. At the new shoes by the door. The day suddenly feels gray. At the same time, just two streets over, little Emma presses her nose flat against the window pane. "Mom, it's raining!" she calls out excitedly. "Can we jump in the puddles?" Her eyes light up as if diamonds had fallen from the sky outside. In the park nearby, the old chestnut tree stretches its branches toward the sky. Its roots drink greedily. After weeks of drought, every drop is a gift. The leaves shine as if freshly polished. The grass turns green again. On the balcony on the third floor, Mr. Müller normally waters his tomatoes every evening. Today he can relax and watch the sky do the work. His plants will sleep better tonight. On the other side of the city, Farmer Schmidt sits in his tractor. He stops and looks at the sky. For weeks he has prayed for rain. The seeds need water to germinate. His brow relaxes for the first time in days. "Finally," he murmurs and smiles. Four people, the same rain. Four completely different worlds. But the rain itself? It is simply just rain. It falls without judgment. It wets without evaluation. It is neither good nor bad. It is. Let us pause for a moment. Breathe in and imagine you're standing in gentle rain. Feel how the drops land on your skin. Cool, refreshing, alive. Breathe out and let all judgments go. Think of something in your life that you judge as "bad." A situation, a circumstance, a quality. What if it simply is? Like a child who has no category for "bad weather." Like a plant that receives every experience as nourishment. Breathe in: "It is what it is." Breathe out: "And that is perfect." Rain is only rain until we decide to make it something else. Rain is only rain until we decide to make it something else. Nature knows no bad weather. It knows only what is. And perhaps we can too. Take this thought with you into your day. Breathe deeply once more and gently return. Open your eyes if you wish. Thank you for these shared minutes. Thank you for using Calm Sessions. ```
