Gently drift into sleep
The breath comes and goes by itself.
There is nothing to do.
Nothing to achieve.
With each exhale, the body sinks a little deeper.
Like into a soft, supportive surface.
Completely held.
Thoughts are allowed to arise.
And pass on again.
Without following them.
If attention wanders, that is okay.
It may gently return to the breath.
Or to the feeling of heaviness in the body.
With each breath, calm spreads further.
From the feet.
To the head.
The body may let go.
The mind may become quieter.
